Please find attached the minutes of the AGM of the AHCS held at Inverness on 15th July. Also attached is the full report from the acting Secretary Fiona Grant.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Fiona very much indeed for the most efficient job she did in holding everything together whilst I was busy with arrangements for the Clan Maclean International Gathering which was held, over five days, on Mull in June. We had 730 attendees by the final day and over 500 during the earlier part of the week so it was pretty busy. The weather was also foul during most of it but no one seemed to mind!
The next AHCS social will be on the Saturday 14th October in the Grantown-on-Spey area. We will start off at the Grant Centre at Duthill Church at 11.00 a.m. and will spend around an hour there before heading for lunch followed by a visit to the Gantown Museum where we will be guided round the current exhibition “Richard Waitt, Picture Drawer – Portraits of a Highland Clan (1713-1733)” (http://www.grantownmuseum.co.
uk/exhibitions-events/). Further details of the day will follow later.
